Passion #1 - Removing the Mask of Domestic Violence
Hiking Home for Shelter
Linda Murphy left her home on March 26th, 2019 to travel to the Mexican border in Campo, California, then turned North and commenced with a 4,279 km/2,659mi, non-supported, solo trail-hike...back to Canada!
With everything she needed on her back - a tent, freeze-dried food, minimal clothing, etc, and exiting the trail every 3 - 7 days to re-supply.
Linda made this journey because (In her own words):
"I am safe, I am strong, and I am grateful - for my violence-free life, and that of our three daughters - I am doing this because I can, and those who suffer from violence won't receive the safe shelter and counselling they and their children need, if we, who can, don't raise the money to pay for it"
